Holmfirth Cricket Club really is at the heart of the community - the beautiful Bridge Fold ground is located only a couple of hundred yards away from the Co-op supermarket in Crown Bottom, although the ground is so well hidden, many people do not know it is there! Cricket has been played here for over 150 years, and with the club's various teams at senior and junior level, cricket is set to continue to be played in the heart of Holmfirth for many years to come. Players of all ages are invited to contact the club for more details. In particular, Holmfirth has a thriving Junior section, and the club welcomes new players - boys and girls - from under 9s up to under 15s. Beginners as well as experienced players are welcome. Players are coached by experienced and qualified coaches, and the club has created a safe and fun environment for youngsters to learn the game, and to have the opportunity to develop their talents to the full. The club also run a varied programme of social events throughout the year - details of which can be found on the calendar, and in the What's On section of this website.
